Delhi Dynamos FC to launch Football Academy in partnership with BRICS

New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): Delhi Dynamos FC on Tuesday announced their partnership with BRICS to launch the Delhi Dynamos BRICS Football Academy in India.

The academy, catering to players above 5 years of age, will focus on preparing football champions by training young talent and ensuring their exposure to international coaches and players. It will provide 360 degree support to young footballers, providing them education and world-class facilities.

Delhi Dynamos FC will be representing India in the BRICS U-17 Football Cup 2016 to be held in India. Delhi Dynamos will also participate effectively in all the grass roots and CSR related activities of BRICS.

As a curtain raiser to this upcoming tournament, YES Bank BRICS Diplomatic Football Cup Trophy was recently organised in the capital where Delhi Dynamos U-17 team finished as runners-up.

Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Agarwal, President Delhi Dynamos FC, said, "BRICS have seen a dearth of professionally run football academies with the correct infrastructure. They have chosen to partner with DDFC to leverage the strengths of the club and bring in their own expertise and knowledge to bridge the gap of professional football training in India. We at Delhi Dynamos FC have always worked towards the development of the game at grassroots level and we hope to see more and more children taking up the sport professionally, and benefitting from the football academies."

Delhi Dynamos had earlier also announced its plans to construct a residential football academy at Lucknow as part of its CSR and grassroot activities in North India.
