BRC Gloster National Billiards & Snooker sees highest-ever entries
Kolkata, Jan 3 (IBNS): The BRC Gloster National Billiards and Snooker Championship 2015 beginning on Saturday at the Bengal Rowing Club, Kolkata, is witnessing the biggest-ever participation with over 900 entries.
“We have received more than 900 entries from across the country. All the top-ranked players of India will be seen in action here,” said Pradip Saraogi, President of the West Bengal Billiards Association.
The Championship will run from Jan 3 till Jan 24 and will see the participation from all states as well as from the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board and the Railways Sports Promotion Board.
The Billiards and Snooker events will have the following categories:
1) Sub-Junior Boys and Girls
2) Junior Boys and Girls
3) Seniors Men and Women
Among the top names who will be seen in action are:
1) Defending Champion Pankaj Advani in Snooker
2) Defending Champion Sourav Kothari in Billiards
3) Alok Kumar
4) Dhruv Sitwala
5) Rupesh Shah
6) Vidya Pillai
7) Suniti Damani
8) Nita Kothari, who recently won the Bronze in billiards at the
World Championship.
