Dhaka, June 10 (IBNS): Shikhar Dhawan made a brilliant comeback to form in Test cricket by smashing a gutsy unbeaten 150 while M Vijay hammered 89 not out as the Indian openers helped their side post 239 runs for the loss of no wickets on the first day of the one-off Test match against Bangladesh here on Wednesday.

Dhawan was brilliant with the bat as he smashed 21 boundaries in his knock while Vijay gave him a good company on the other end of the crease with his 178-ball 89.

He hit eight boundaries and six in his knock as the Bangladeshi bowlers failed to disrupt them once in the entire day.

The openers will aim to increase the total as they walk down the park on the second day of the Test on Thursday.

Bangladesh skipper  Mushfiqur Rahim ha tried seven bowlers on the entire day with an hope of breaking the partnership.

None of the bowlers were able to perform the task.
