Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood celebs join to congratulate Indian Under-19 women's team for winning WC

Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday night cheered aloud as Indian Under-19 women's team defeated England to lift the inaugural World Cup.

Bachchan wrote on Instagram: "T 4542 - INDIA CHAMPIONS !! Women's U-19 world cup champions in cricket .. beat the British hands down ..खटिया खड़ी कर दी khatiya khadi kar di .. INDIA."

Kajol posted on Twitter: "The world CHAMPION #U19T20WorldCup goes to the #WomenInBlue You’ve made us all proud! "

Actress Ananya Panday tweeted: "The #WomenInBlue are making history!! What a victory!!! Heartiest congratulations to @TheShafaliVerma & #TeamIndia, you all have made us so so proud by bringing home the first ever #U19T20WorldCup Kudos to the dedication & hardwork put in by the entire team."

Actor Farhan Akhtar said: " Congratulations to the India Women's U-19 team on winning the T20 World Cup 2023. Onwards and upwards."


 
A brilliant show with the new-ball performance was followed by a calm run-chase as India cruised to victory over England in the final to lift the inaugural ICC U19 World Cup title on Sunday.

India sealed their triumph with seven wickets in hand and six overs to spare.
