Paris/IBNS: Indian debutant wrestler Aman Sehrawat won a bronze medal in the men's 57kg wrestling at the Paris Olympics on Friday.

With this India has bagged six medals-one silver and five bronze-at the ongoing Games.

Aman registered a 13-5 win against Puerto Rico's Darian Toi Cruz in the bronze medal match in his maiden Olympics.

Congratulating Sehrawat over his winning feat, PM Modi wrote: "More pride thanks to our wrestlers! Congratulations to Aman Sehrawat for winning the Bronze Medal in the Men's Freestyle 57 kg at the Paris Olympics. His dedication and perseverance are clearly evident. The entire nation celebrates this remarkable feat."

Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat's hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has ended.

The final verdict will be announced soon.

India's star athlete Neeraj Chopra did not disappoint his fans this Olympic season by clinching the Silver Medal for his country in the men's javelin throw event.

After a day of despair, the Indian Men's Hockey team Thursday brought back smiles to the faces of 1.4 billion people after they defeated Spain to win the Bronze Medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Earlier Manu Bhaker registered the first medal for India with a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol individual event. She and Sarabjot Singh won bronze in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event. Bhaker became the first Indian to win more than one medal in a single Olympics edition.

Swapnil Kusale won the third medal for India. The Indian shooter won the bronze medal in Men's 50m Air Rifle Three Positions event.
