Abhinav Bindra quits TOPS

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IBNS): Indian Olympic medalist Abhinav Bindra has decided to quit the Target Olympic Podium Committee.

TOP Committee chairman Anurag Thakur, Bindra said with Olympic preparations in full swing, he will not have no time to spare during the next year to actively contribute to the Scheme.

"Since, I have no time to spare during the next year to actively contribute towards the Scheme, I don't feel it appropriate to continue as a member on the committee," he wrote in the letter.

The Committee selects Olympic medal prospect Indian athletes for availing government funds for get training in the run up to Rio Games i 2016.
