7th All India Shree Cement Bridge Championship to begin in Kolkata tomorrow

Kolkata/IBNS: More than four hundred bridge players including almost all noted campaigners  from different parts of India will stake their claim for the top honours at the 7th All India Shree Cement Bridge Championship to be held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata on April 11-14.

Bridge Federation of India (BFI) Secretary Debasish Ray on Wednesday said that the meet is being organised by Corporate Bridge Association of India under the aiges of West Bengal Bridge Association.

The championship, one of the major tournaments of the mind game in the country, offers a total prize money of Rs 7 lakh beside ranking points.

The tournament include team and pairs events where beside world cupers and Asiad medalists, top veteran players, both men and women, who have earned laurels from various international events will take part in this tournament .

Title holders in the team event "Formidables" from Delhi would be challenged by other strong contenders comprised of India internationals and noted players of the country during this four-day popular tournament.
