Kabul, Sept 11 (IBNS): Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan believes that his side have the talent to clinch the Asia Cup.

Khan believes that Afghanistan players need to keep their nerves cool if they want to taste success in the tournament.

“Definitely, we have the talent and the skills to win it,”Rashid told The National newspaper.

“We need to keep our nerves calm and cool," he said.

“We just need to enjoy our games, and not think about who we are playing, we just need to play the ball, not the player," Khan said.

“I think that will be key. If we can control our nerves and do the right things, take a good decision at the right time, that will be the difference between us and them," he said.

The tournament will be played in the UAE this month.

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and one more team from the qualifiers will play the tournament.

Pakistan, India and the qualifying team have been placed in Group A.

India and Pakistan will face each other on Sept 19 in Dubai.

This is the first time the two teams will face each other since the ICC Champions Trophy Final in 2017.

Pakistan defeated India to win the trophy.
