London, Aug 12 (IBNS): India's tour of England took another disastrous turn on Sunday when the hosts defeated the visitors in the second Test by an innings and 159 runs.

India were bowled out for 109 runs in the first innings and then were all out for 130 runs in the next.

England bowlers dominated the proceedings with James Anderson and Stuart Broad picking up four wickets each to finish off the Indian batting line up.

The Indian batsmen surrendered helplessly with just R Ashwin putting up some resistance with his unbeaten 33 runs knock.

Hardik Pandya remained the second highest scorer for the side with his 26.

The remaining batting line up failed to shine in the innings that left England clinching the match dominantly.

England, who put up 396 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the first innings, took 2-0 lead in the series.
