Kolkata, July 11 (IBNS): Bengdubi’s Rishav Verma is in the driver's seat at the Milky Moo Tolly Juniors after carding the day’s best round of two-over 72 on the opening day of the fifth leg of Milky Moo Championship IGU East Zone Feeder & Sub Junior Tour being played here at the Par 70 Tollygunge Club.

Ribhav, who competes in Category D, started with a birdie and followed it up with three more birdies going four under for the day after ten holes.

Something changed after that and he would drop four bogeys over the next seven holes before ending with a disappointing double bogey 5 on the final hole.

He leads Anshul Mishra by six strokes followed by Prashant Agarwal a further three strokes behind.

The Category A&B event is led by local lad Anish Rajak who shot a seven-over 77 to take a five stroke lead into the final round on Thursday.

Ramayush Ray trails in second place followed by Aroush Tagore a further stroke behind at 83. Ramayush leads Category B by two strokes over the duo of Arya Vardhan Gupta and Subham Adak who shot shot identical 84s. The duo is also tied fourth overall.

Garv Lakhmani leads Category C having carded 81 to take a two stroke overnight lead over Rishi Biswas with Kabir Mehta in third a further stroke behind tied with Mohit Balasubramaniam.

Category E hosts the youngest of the field and Varish Mohta staked his claim to the title after a polished six over 40 to take an almost unassailable lead of ten strokes into the final round over Hredaan Raj Bihani.

Darshit Chaurasia is placed third a further stroke behind at 51.

Amongst the Girls, Yaalisai Verma is atop the Category A&B leaderboard at 83 with Sana Hussain taking the Category C lead at 89 with Anaahat Bindra and Navyaa Nahata tied for the top spot in Category D after both carded 96.
