Australia beat India to clinch Champions Trophy title

New Delhi, July 1 (IBNS): In a shoot out , Australia defeated India by 3-1 margin in Champions Trophy final here on Sunday.

In the regulation time, India and the World chamipons were locked at 1-1.

Australia claimed their second consecutive Champions Trophy title with the victory.

India tried to best to compete against Australia but it was during the shoot out that the match was snatched by the World Champions.

Blake Govers converted a penalty to take early 1-0 lead in the match.

Vivek Sagar Prasad leveld the score to 1-1 witha field goal in the 42nd minute of the match.

Australian  goalkeeper Tyler Lovell emerged hero of the match by making three crucial saves to help his side clinch the title after the shootout.
