Uruguay beat Portugal to reach quarter final of FIFA World Cup

Sochi, Jun 30 (IBNS): Edinson Cavani's twin goals helped Uruguay to reach the quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup 2018 by beating Portugal at the Fisht Stadium here on Saturday.

Uruguay defeated Portugal 2-1.

With the loss, Portugal's world cup journey came to an end.

Cavani's goals came at the 7th and 62nd minutes of the match.

Portugal's lone goal was scored by Pepe at the 55th minutes.

Uruguay will face France in the quarter-final.
