Kolkata. Dec 23 (IBNS): The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata erupted in loud cheer as ATK striker Robbie Keane powered his team to earn their first victory at the home ground on Saturday.

When the match was heading towards a draw, Keane, with a powerful shot, enabled ATK to earn their second victory in the ongoing season of Indian Super League.

At the 78th minute, Keane, receiving a pass from Thomas Thorpe, kicked the ball to the net which went past Delhi's goalkeeper Sukhadev Patil.

After the half time, none of the teams were looking impressive to score a goal until Keane's mesmerising shot.

Though Delhi dominated the match largely, failed to compensate ATK's goal to end their poor performance so far in ISL 2017.

Both the teams lost a number of chances which could have made the match more competitive.

Earlier, ATK's striker Branco failed to give his team a one goal lead as he missed a straight chance to hit the net at the 40th minute.

DD too missed a chance where Romeo failed to hit the ball, passed by Cantillo, at the goal post.

Even Keane missed a straight chance at the 50th minute of the match.

With this win, ATK registered their second win in the tournament and first at home.

Post match, Keane said: "We (ATK) probably deserved to win the game today."

ATK co-owner Sourav Ganguly said: "It is good to win back to back matches. There are plenty of matches left in the tournament."
