Ashes: Australia outplay England by 10 wickets

Brisbane, Nov 27 (IBNS): Australia registered a comprehensive victory against arch-rival England by 10 wickets in the first Test match on the Ashes series at the Gabba, Brisbane on Monday.

Chasing a target of 170 runs, Australia in the second innings comfortably scored the required number of runs without losing a single wicket.

Cameron Bancroft and David Warner scored unbeaten 82 and 87 runs respectively.

In the first innings, England had put up a total of 302 followed by Australia's 328 runs.

Trailing Australia by 26 runs in the second innings, England responded meekly and eventually bundled out for just 195.

With the win, Australia lead the Ashes series 1-0.
