Roger Federer defeats Rafael Nadal to win Shanghai Masters

Shanghai, Oct 15 (IBNS): Swiss Tennis master Roger Federer on Sunday defeated his old rival Rafael Nadal to win the Shanghai Masters.

This was his fourth victory against the Spanish rival this year.

Roger Federer defeated Nadal by 6-4, 6-3 margin in the crucial final match of the tournament to win the title.

To win his sixth title of the year, Federer took an hour and 12 minutes in the match.

This year, Swiss player Roger Federer defeated the world number one  in the final of the Australian Open and Miami Masters and in the last 16 at Indian Wells.

The match assumed important for Tennis fans as it witnessed the battle at the court between two old rival and the current world number one and two players.

Federer won the crown for the second time in his career.
