Pune, Feb 25 (IBNS): Australian cricketers appreciated their national side' massive 333 runs victory against India in the first Test match of the series here on Saturday.

Former cricketer Mark Waugh tweeted: "What a win by the boys in Pune.@stevesmith49 @darren_lehmann. Enjoy the moment start of something special.#go Aussies,"

Pacer Peter Siddle posted: "Sing it LOUD boys! @CricketAus #Proud."

Cricketer Shane Watson remarked: "Incredible Aussie performance in Pune. So happy for Steve O'Keefe!He has toiled so hard for this. @stevesmith49 amazing 100 too."

Cricket Australia also appreciated players for their victory and posted: "India's recent Test record at home: DWWWWWWWDWWWWWDWWWWL An incredible win by the Aussies to start the series! #INDvAUS."

Former wicket-keeper Adam Gilchirist said: "Aust, you beauty! Celebrate like there is no tomorrow. Then tomorrow, start focusing on the next one. @CricketAus ."
