Ladies Golf tournament organized by Taj Bengal enters first day of the competition

Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): The 36th Ladies Golf tournament organized by Taj Bengal entered the first day of the competition.

The 36-hole golf tournament is held at the picturesque Tollygunge Club course. Around 58 Lady Golfers participated in the tournament this year.

Leading on Day 1 of the Taj Bengal Trophy 2017 in the main division, handicap 0-29 is Sheena Rawla, who played 3 under her handicap with a nett score of 64. Followed by Nikita Biswas with a nett score of 64 and Rina Sen with a nett score of 65.

There were lady golfers of different age groups from in and around the city with participation from few of the leading clubs such as Tollygunge Club, Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC) and Calcutta Ladies Golf Club (CLGC).

The Taj Bengal Trophy is one of the most awaited golf tournaments for the lady golfers in the city. It aims to promote golf and the spirit of competition amongst women golfers in Kolkata.
