R Ashwin picks up 3 wickets, England 78-4

Mohali, Nov 28 (IBNS): Superstar R Ashwin once again put up a brilliant show first with the bat and then with the ball as he picked up three wickets to leave England struggling at 78 runs for the loss of four wickets here on Monday.

The third day of the Test ended with Joe Root unbeaten at 36.

Ashwin picked up the wickets of skipper Alaister Cook (12), Moen Ali (5) and

Ben Stokes (5). Jayant Yadav took the wicket of Jonny Bairstow (15) as England are left struggling at 78 for four, trailing India by 56 runs.


Earlier riding on R Ashwin (72), Ravindra Jadeja (90) and Yadav (55), India scored 417 runs all out in their first innings.

Jadeja played brilliantly as he smashed 10 boundaries and a six in his knock.

Jadeja sadly missed the centruy by 10 runs.

India took 134 runs lead.
