Udayjit Bhalotia claims Bengal Juniors title

Kolkata, Sept 10 (IBNS): Udayjit Bhalotia overturned a two stroke deficit to claim the Bengal Juniors title here at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club with a score of eight-over 150. He won by a huge margin of eight strokes over Karan Verma who shot identical 79s to finish ahead of Bishwam Ghosh.
Anmol Mahajan finished fourth a further stroke behind followed by Kunal Naidu in fifth with a two day total of 162. Tapas Sardar claimed the Category B title with a score 164 and was followed by Aryan Agarwal of Tatanagar in second and Shaurya Ekka of Ranchi in third.

Category C was won by Souvik Nayak by a mammoth ten strokes over Joysurjo Dey while it was the trio of Anish Rajak, Biren Kumar and Pinku Das who shared the third place.

Garv Lakhmani was the Category D winner with Gurmehr Bindra in second place four strokes behind. Manhar Bajoria claimed the third podium place a further five strokes behind.

In the Girls’ events, Siddhi Kapoor took home the category A title while Shushnata Deb’s 175 was enough to win the Category B event. Chitrangada Singh claimed the Category C event over Smriti Bhargav while it was Sinjini Mukherjee winning the Category D event by a massive 18 strokes.
