22 shortlisted for SAFF U-19 Championship 2015

New Delhi, Aug 17 (IBNS): A 22- member have been selected for the Indian U-19 National Team squad for the SAFF U-19 Championship 2015, which is slated to commence at Kathmandu in Nepal.

The Indian contingent has been pitted against Maldives and Afghanistan in Group B of the Championship.

Two Teams from the Group will progress into the latter stages of the Championship.

The Tournament is slated to kick-off from August 20, 2015 and the Indian colts will play their first match on August 23, 2015 against Afghanistan in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The 22 member squad is as follows:

GOALKEEPERS: Sayak Barai, Swastik Mukherjee

DEFENDERS: Shahabaaz, Gursimrat Singh Gill, Golui Sarthak, Amit Tudu, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Prosenjit Chakraborty.

MIDFIELDERS: Kamalpreet Singh, Hayden Fernandes, Prasanth K, Japes Singh, Lalramzauva, Rohit Kumar, Lalit Tariyal, Kyntiewshaphrang Kharlukhi, AnirudhThapa, Bedashwor Singh

FORWARDS: Moinuddin, Daniel Lalhlimpuia, Nijwmmuchahary, Sushil Meitei

HEAD COACH: Syed Sabir Pasha

The fixture list for the Indian Colts is as follows:

August 23: India v Afghanistan

August 25: India v Maldives
