Mumbai beat RR by 8 runs

Mumbai, May 1 (IBNS): Mumbai Indians managed to beat Rajasthan Royals by eight runs in an IPL thriller here on Friday.

Posting 187 runs for the loss of five wickets, Mumbai bowlers restricted Rajasthan at 179 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Riding on Ambati Rayudu's unbeaten 53, Mumbai reached 187 runs.

He hammered four boundaries and three sixes in his 27-ball knock.

Dhawal Kulkarni took two wickets for Rajasthan.

Sanju Samson's fighting 76 went in  vain as Rajasthan failed to reach the target easily at the end.

Mitchell McClenaghan  took three wickets for Mumbai.
