Pakistan's star cricketer Shoaib Malik tied the nuptial knot with his country's actress Sana Javed, confirming the rumours of his divorce with Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza.

Malik on Saturday posted an Instagram picture with Sana where he said, "Alhamdullilah. And We created you in pairs" - وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا."

Sana, who appears on Urdu television, made her debut in 2012 with Shehr-e-Zaat and then went on to feature in a number of daily soaps.

She has also featured in a number of telefilms.

Just days ago, Sania sparked a fresh rumour of her divorce with Malik with a cryptic Instagram post where she said, "Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard.

"Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely."

In a post, the 37-year-old, who retired from her sport in 2023, wrote, "When something disturbs the peace of your heart , let it go."
