India captain Rohit Sharma on Monday faced an injury scare while batting at the nets ahead of the semi final match against England in the T20 World Cup, media reports said.

Rohit was hit on his right forearm when he was taking throw-downs from specialist S Raghu.

The skipper, who dropped his bat with pain, was quickly attended by team physio Kamlesh Jain and doctor Charles Minz.

After more than half-an-hour, Rohit resumed batting at the nets, bringing a sigh of relief in the India camp.

India stormed into the semi final with four wins including the improbable one against Pakistan, leading the Group 2 chart.

India will take on England in the second semi final match scheduled to be played on Thursday.
