KL Rahul tests Covid-19 positive

Bengaluru/UNI: Indian cricket vice-captain KL Rahul in all probability will miss West Indies T20I series after he tested Covid-19 positive.

The wicketkeeper-batsman was preparing to move to West Indies later this week after he had recuperated from a surgery at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru where he is undergoing a rehab training.

This was disclosed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly.

Rahul had successfully undergone groin surgery in Germany.

India will play a five-game T20I series to be played across three venues - Trinidad, St Kitts and Florida (US) - from Jul 29 to Aug 7.

ODI squad: Shikhar Dhawan (Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Ravindra Jadeja (vice-captain), Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Mohd Siraj, Arshdeep Singh.

T20Is squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul*, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav*, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.
