KL Rahul named Team India vice captain in Tests against South Africa

Mumbai/IBNS: Indian right handed batsman KL Rahul has been named as skipper Virat Kohli's deputy in the upcoming Test series against South Africa.

Rahul has replaced India's regular Test vice captain Rohit Sharma, who is ruled out of the series due to hamstring injury.

The three-match Test series will begin in South Africa from Dec 26.

The first match will be played in Centurion.

India’s Test squad: Virat Kohli (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Priyank Panchal, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper), R Ashwin, Jayant Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Md. Siraj.
