Rohit Sharma named Indian team skipper for T20 clash against New Zealand

The Indian selectors of the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday named Rohit Sharma as the skipper for the T20 International against New Zealand.

KL Rahul has been named his deputy.

Virat Kohli, who played his last T20 match as skipper in the group stage  match of the T20 World Cup against Namibia, has been rested for the T20 series against Kiwis.

New Zealand beat India in the group stage clash of the World Cup.
