PYDB Chairman inaugurates inter circle shooting competition in Ludhiana

Chandigarh/Ludhiana/UNI: Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra on Tuesday inaugurated an inter circle shooting competition at the local shooting range in Rakh Bagh, Ludhiana.

After formally inaugurating the competition, Bindra said that the tournament is being organized under the aegis of Mission Tandarust Punjab.

He said Capt Amarinder Singh-led state government is giving special attention to the grooming of the youths through such tournaments so that they could excel in sports competitions at the national and international levels while making their state and families proud.

He asked the youths to play the game with utmost dedication and hard work to excel in the arena of sports while saying that every effort is being made to ensure the holistic development of players so that they can compete across the globe.

The chairman also handed over a cheque of Rs 11,000 to state-level gold medalist para-shooter Amandeep Singh of Ludhiana and assured full support to him. It is a matter of honour for all Punjabis that Amandeep has made a niche in the game with his sheer hard work and dedication, he said.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included District Sports Officer Ravinder Singh, coaches Gurjeet Singh, Priya, Harveen Singh, Gurvinder Singh Jolly, Dev Aggarwal, and Nitin Tandon.
