Former Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura to retire from international cricket after T20 series against Pakistan

Harare: Former Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura will retire from international cricket after the ongoing T20 series against Pakistan.

Confirming the development, Zimbabwe Cricket tweeted on Saturday, "Former @ZimCricketv captain Elton Chigumbura is set to retire from international cricket at the end of the current @TheRealPCB tour. He has made 213 ODI and 14 Test appearances, with 54 T20Is under his belt before the start of his swansong series."

He played 213 ODIs for Zimbabwe in his cricket career.

The 34-year-old contributed 4340 runs for his side in the 50-ver format.

He also played 56 T20Is and 14 Tests.

He made his debut at the age of 18, amidst the rebel crisis.
