Jammu and Kashmir: District level inter-school tournament concluded successfully

Srinagar/IBNS: The district level inter-school tournament has successfully concluled in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Around 304 players from 19 higher schools took part in the tournament. 

The final match was played between HSS Mattan and HSS Salia. 

HSS Salia won the tossand decided to bat.HSS Salia scored 150 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. 

Shaarikfrom Salia hit a brilliant knock of quick 76 runs and was adjudged as man of the match.In reply, HSS Mattan scored 103 runs for the loss of all wickets.

Salik from HSS Salia wasdeclared as the player of the tournament.

The final match was played at Sports StadiumNanil on which District Development Commissioner K K Sidha was the chief guest andGhulam Hassan Sheikh ADC Anantnag was the guest of honour and gave away the prizes. 

He also distributed Cricket kits among the winner and runners up teams. DDC alsoannounced for providing a cricket roller to Sports stadium Anantnag. 

Among others who were present on the occasion were District Youth Services and Sportsofficer Anantnag Mushtaq Ahamad Pampori, members of the activity section DYSSOoffice and technical officials. 

The event was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Anantnag.
