Under 19 World Cup: Bangladesh beat India in a thrilling final

Potchefstroom/IBNS: Shattering hearts of millions of Indians, Bangladesh Under 19 squad defeated the 'Men In Blue' in the rain-hit final match by D/L method to life their maiden World title here on Sunday.

Bowling out India for 177 runs, Bangladesh, despite losing wickets at regular intervals, continued the momentum and reached 170 runs for the loss of seven wickets when the rain came down disrupting the proceedings.

Akbar Ali (43*) played a captain's knock and hold the guard at a time when the opposition was trying to come back to the game by picking up quick wickets.

Parvez Hossain Emon provided Bangladesh a strong start at the beginning as he contributed 47 runs with the willow.

India's Ravi Bishnoi tried to shine with the white cherry and picked up four wickets in the innings.

However, despite all efforts by the Indian team, Bangladesh cricketers managed to clinch a stunning victory in the game.
