You have to interpret yourself through different art work forms: Kaushiki

Kolkata, Dec 14 (IBNS) Singer Kaushiki Chakraborty said she has opted for the role of show-stopper of a jewellery fashion show only to interpret herself differently.

“I had done playback in films. I had done coke studio recording, I am doing endorsement of very traditional and classical jewellery. I am doing things with which I am able to connect,” Kaushiki told IBNS at the jewellery fashion show called ‘Classic Calcutta’.

“If I start thinking I can’t go beyond my assigned role and known territory.  I am limiting my potential and  I don’t want that to happen,” the daughter of classical singer Pt Ajoy Chakroborty said.

Kaushiki said as a singer she can endorse the brand which will gel with her profile and achievements.

“Like my rendition of Amir Khusro lines, which date back to 1000 years but still remains relevant, the classical jewelleries  I wear are very decorated but brings out my personality," she said.

Speaking on the event, Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, said:  “We are proud to have Kaushiki as our brand ambassador as she is the epitome of beauty and elegance - two important pre-requisites."
