‘Will cherish our friendship’: Mouni Roy, Suraj Nambiar part ways after four years of marriage
Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Mouni Roy has announced her separation from her businessman husband Suraj Nambiar, ending days of speculation surrounding their marital life.
In a joint social media statement, Mouni and Suraj said they “have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably.”
“After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding,” the couple wrote, adding, “At this point, we are focused on navigating this phase thoughtfully and privately.”
Mouni and Suraj, while seeking privacy during this period, said they would continue to cherish their friendship.
Speculation about trouble in their marriage began after the couple unfollowed each other on social media.
Interestingly, Mouni’s close friend and actor Disha Patani had also reportedly unfollowed Suraj, further fuelling rumours about the couple’s relationship.
Several romantic photographs of Mouni and Suraj also appeared to have been removed from social media, intensifying online chatter surrounding their marriage.

Mouni Roy married Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar on January 27, 2022, in Goa after dating for nearly three years.
The couple held both Malayali and Bengali wedding ceremonies to honour their cultural backgrounds.
The wedding was attended by close friends, television personalities, and Bollywood celebrities.
How they met
Suraj Nambiar is an investment banker and entrepreneur based in Dubai.
According to reports, Mouni and Suraj first met in Dubai in 2019 and kept their relationship largely private before tying the knot.
