Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood's new heartthrob Triptii Dimri has replaced superstar Deepika Padukone as the female lead in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, Spirit.

Triptii will reunite with Vanga, whose 2023 film Animal provided massive fame to the actress, who is also referred to as "national crush" on social media.

Excited about grabbing the role, Triptii wrote on Instagram, "Still sinking in…. So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision."

As per multiple reports, Deepika, a leading Hindi film actress, opted out of the film over issues regarding her remuneration.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, the actress had demanded Rs. 40 crore as her remuneration from Vanga's film.

However, the producers were open to pay Rs. 20 crore eventually leading Deepika to exit the project.

Interestingly, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who are also a real-life couple, were approached for the film but they too had opted out over remuneration issues.
