Kolkata/IBNS: The trailer of upcoming Bengali film Hatey Khori, which is directed by Mainak Mitra and Kaustav Chakraborty, has been released by the makers.

Presented by Copyright Entertainment and FPS (Film Pertners Studioz), the film features Sankhyadeep Banerjee, Biswanath Basu, Sonalee Chaudhuri, Sumit Samadder, Konkona Halder, Debraj Bhattacharya in distinct roles.

The story begins with the protagonist – Chand – and his dream. His only dream is to go to school and complete his studies but Chand and his friends have to engage in child labour.

Someone works in the garage while another is working at a hotel and Chand himself works at a tea-stall/dhaba by the roadside. Chand loves to study.

He enjoys studying from whatever book he can get his hands on - especially newspapers and magazines. For him, every newspaper, new or old, is a source of knowledge and he tries to learn from them.

Speaking of the film, the director duo says, "Cinema is a mirror of society. Hatey Khori is a mirror that shows a familiar but different side of society.

"Hatey Khori is an extension of our experience. Cinema, to us, means emotions, and in this movie, we have woven dreams of common individuals – simple people like you and us."

The film is slated for March 29 release.
