Mumbai/IBNS: The trailer of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana will be unveiled on July 24, the makers announced on Saturday, according to media reports.

The highly anticipated mythological epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is one of the biggest Indian film projects currently in production.

Ranbir Kapoor's First Look as Lord Rama

In April this year, producer Namit Malhotra unveiled Ranbir Kapoor's first look as Lord Rama through a dedicated teaser.

Released globally, the teaser highlighted the timeless legacy of Lord Rama, describing the character as one whose story has resonated with audiences for over 5,000 years.

Star-Studded Cast

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring some of India's leading actors:

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita
  • Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman
  • Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana

Global Creative Team Behind the Epic

Ramayana features music composed by Oscar-winning musicians Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

The film's production design is being led by Ravi Bansal and Ramsey Avery, who are reimagining ancient India on an unprecedented scale.

The action sequences are being choreographed by acclaimed Hollywood stunt directors Terry Notary and Guy Norris.

Release Timeline

The first instalment of Ramayana is slated for a Diwali 2026 release, while the second part is expected to hit theatres during the Diwali 2027 festive season.
