Mumbai, Apr 18 (IBNS): Marking the Easter month of the year, the movie 'Son of God', based on the life of Jesus, his birth, death and resurrection is all set to soon hit the theatres in India.

‘Son of God’ showcases the intricate details of Jesus's life, the miracles he performed, the temptations he overcame and the cross that he bore.

According to the officials, 'Son of God' features powerful performances, beautiful locations, supreme VFX and brilliant music score from Oscar winner Hans Zimmer.

It is the first motion picture about Jesus's life since 'Passion of Christ' that was released ten years ago, and promises to be larger than life, the officials informed.

The role of Jesus is essayed by the talented Portuguese actor Diogo Morgado.

Directed by Christopher Spencer, the Twentieth Century Fox film is being presented in India by Jesus Calls Ministry Services and Indo Overseas Films.

'Son of God’ is set to release in theatres in India on Apr 25.
