Mumbai/IBNS: Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, officially went on floor on Sunday, following significant controversy over its casting.

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi graced the mahurat as the special guest, joining the team as the first shooting schedule began.

After her acclaimed performance in Animal, Triptii Dimri continues her creative collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, alongside producers Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga.

The project attracted attention when Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone exited the film after her proposed eight-hour schedule was reportedly not accommodated by the makers.

Director Vanga had posted cryptic messages on social media, which netizens linked to Deepika’s departure.
