Online streaming platform Netflix has bought the rights of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan', an action-based political commentary, for a staggering amount amid the film's stormy run in the box office, media reports said.

Netflix has purchased the rights of 'Jawan' for a whopping Rs 250 crore, Free Press Journal reports.

The movie is slated to be unveiled on the OTT platform Netflix after 45 to 60 days of its release in cinemas, presumably towards the end of October.

The official date, on the other hand, has not been announced by the makers and Netflix, reports said.

'Jawan' continues its strong box office run, both domestically and internationally, earning Rs. 327.88 crore in India and a whopping Rs. 650 crore worldwide in seven days since its release.
