Mastizaade, Hate Story 3 box office clash averted

| | Nov 14, 2015, at 08:17 pm
Mumbai, Nov 14 (IBNS): Pritish Nandy Communications and Milap Zaveri’s adult comedy Mastizaade and T-Series’ adult thriller Hate Story 3 were supposed to release on the same day of December 4 this year.

It has now been learnt that the clash of these two equally promising and similar adult genre films has been averted.

The Karan Singh Grover, Zarine Khan and Sharman Joshi starrer, Hate Story 3, will release as per schedule on December 4 and the Sunny Leone, Tusshar Kapoor, Vir Das and Riteish Deshmukh adult comedy Mastizaade will now release mid-January 2016.

If sources are to be believed, Bhushan Kumar requested Pritish Nandy if he can please postpone the release of his adult comedy and not release it on December 4 since both films being adult genre films would eat into each other’s collections.

Since Pritish and Bhushan have a long standing relationship based on mutual respect and affection and Bhushan has released most of the music of PNC films in the past and in fact has contributed to and holds the music rights of Mastizaade as well, Pritish agreed to Bhushan’s request. This will only benefit the commercial prospects of both films. Considering Pritish’s kind gesture, Bhushan even sent him a special gift.
