Mumbai, Jan 13 (IBNS): The Chennai floods have left an indelible mark on the hearts of the residents.

Thousands were left stranded in the absence of basic amenities.

While the condition of the city has improved post the floods, there’s a lot that can still be done to bring back the livelihood of these people.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has stepped forward to do her bit.

She has associated with an NGO by the name of Habitat for Humanity.

Commenting on this initiative she said,” “My heart goes out to the victims. It must be heartbreaking to not have a home or shelter, especially at a time like this. I have teamed up with the NGO to help build homes for the victims. As a public figure, I can use my social media platforms to generate funds. There is no greater joy than giving back.”
