The 2020 Tamil film Mookuthi Amman, directed by RJ Balaji, was loved by the audience with the film starring Nayanthara and Balaji himself.

As per reports, Balaji has roped in actress Trisha and not Nayanthara for the sequel to the film.

Trisha has also reportedly agreed to work on the devotional drama.

However, no official announcement has been made yet.

While Mookuthi Amman was jointly directed by Balaji and N.J. Saravanan, the sequel is likely to be helmed only by the actor-director.

Mookuthi Amman was released directly on OTT.
