I wasn't aware, says Danish Pandor on Yami Gautam’s impactful cameo in Dhurandhar 2

Speaking to CNN-News18, Pandor—who portrayed Uzair Baloch in the film—said, “I wasn’t aware of her cameo, in the sense that I didn’t know at what point she appears. These decisions are taken entirely by the director, so I was completely oblivious. I was genuinely surprised, as I wasn’t present during the shoot of her scenes.”

Yami Gautam appears in the film as Shazia Bano, a nurse.

Despite limited screen time, her performance leaves a strong impact on the narrative.

Praising her role, Pandor said, “Her part is done so beautifully. It’s such a powerful cameo—she enters the frame and elevates the entire scene. It was a delight to watch her on screen. I believe Yami ma’am is both a beautiful actress and a terrific performer. She has also delivered a phenomenal performance in her recent film Haq.”

Headlined by Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark worldwide, maintaining a strong run at the box office, according to Sacnilk.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film achieved the milestone within just seven days of release—placing it among the fastest films to do so, alongside Pushpa 2.

The high-octane action drama also stars R. Madhavan as strategist Ajay Sanyal, Arjun Rampal as ISI Major Iqbal, and Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam.
