Hollywood: Harvey Weinstein to surrender to police on Friday

Hollywood, May 25 (IBNS): Tainted movie producer Harvey Weinstein is expected to surrender to police on Friday, after the former was found guilty of committing sexual offences against numerous women, during his stint in Hollywood.

Weinstein will turn himself in to New York police, after investigations found him guilty based on allegations made by actor Lucia Evans.

Last year, Weinstein, a successful movie producer in Hollywood, found himself in hot water after a list of actresses and workers accused him of rape and sexual assault.

However, Weinstein has unequivocally rejected any claims of non-consensual sex with anyone.

The allegations soon found pace and culminated in the formation of the #MeToo movement, which encouraged victims across the globe to share their sexual harassment stories.

The allegations also led to his firing from the Oscars.

He is presently undergoing investigations from the UK and US police.
