Kolkata/IBNS: Hoichoi Studio has launched the poster of its upcoming detective thriller, The Eken: Benaras e Bibhishika.

The sleuth Eken Babu returns with a brand-new case set in the mystic lanes and ghats of Benares.

Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, the film features Anirban Chakrabarti in his iconic role as Eken Babu, alongside Somak Ghosh and Suharto Mukhopadhyay playing other key roles.

The new poster of The Eken series hints at a fresh storyline in a new setting, Benaras.

"The last shooting of The Eken was done in Rajasthan, but this time shooting in Benaras was exhilarating. Hope you enjoy watching it, as much as we enjoyed shooting it," said Anirban Chakrabarti.

"The plot is entirely different from what you may have seen in the last few series of The Eken, this time we have come with something completely unpredictable. It is curious and fun and we hope everyone watches it with their family," said Suharto Mukhopadhyay.

The film will be released on May 16.
