Great: Donald Trump praises Ayushmann Khurrana's gay comedy

Washington/IBNS: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana surely had a wide smile on his face as none other than US President Donald Trump on Friday appreciated his gay romantic comedy ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ by describing it as 'Great'.

Trump tweeted in response to a post by human rights campaigner and LGBTQ+ activist Peter Tatchells on the micro-blogging iste.

Peter praised the movie and tweeted: "India: A new #Bollywood rom-com featuring a gay romance is hoping to win over older people, following the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Hurrah! http://ow.ly/mcQs50yro76 @TheQueerAsia @beinglgbti @cadrsunilgupta @NazProjectLdn."

Trump's retweet has been liked 32k times.

His remark comes just days before he is scheduled to arrive in India for his maiden visit as President.

Apart from New Delhi, he is scheduled to visit Ahmedabad and Agra.

‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ released on Friday.

Actors  Jitendra Kumar, Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao are part of the movie.

It is directed by Hitesh Kewalya.

Touted as the first mainstream commercial gay love story in Bollywood, the movie is a standalone sequel to the 2017 film ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’.
