Farhan's MARD campaign recognised globally

Mumbai, Oct 9 (IBNS): MARD, an initiative, taken up by Farhan Akhtar has been really active towards achieving it's goal since the time of it's inception.
MARD got recognised at the Asian Social Innovation Leadership awards. MARD's 'Chulein Aasman' was awarded as the Best Social Media Campaign.

Recently, Farhan teamed up with music composer Salim and Suleiman to launch 'Chulein Aasman' under MARD to highlight the scarcity of women participants on the internet and the need to encourage for the same.

The video was an instant hit and is serving the purpose effectively.

The video also highlights a fact that only 30% of internet users in India are women and is on of the largest gender gaps online, which can be a serious drawback in the years to come.

Kudos to Farhan for bringing this to everyone's notice as internet is a medium, which can empower women and open up a world of possibilities.

Currently, the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor is shooting for his next, Rock On-2, but makes sure to check with his team on all the happening around MARD on a regular basis.
