Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth filed for divorce: Reports

Chennai/IBNS: Actor-director Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have filed for divorce, two years after they announced a separation, media reports said.

They have filed a divorce at the Chennai family court recently.

The two filed the divorce by mutual consent.

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have been living separately for the past two years.

On January 17, 2022, Dhanush wrote on X, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate."

Aishwaryaa, the eldest daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, got married to Dhanush in 2004.

They have two sons- Yatra and Linga- who were born in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
