Decoding Alia Bhatt's attire for Kareena Kapoor's Diwali bash: A Ritu Kapoor saree created over 30 years ago
Mumbai/IBNS: From international events to premieres to family gatherings, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is always ready to steal the limelight through her fashion game.
Bollywood's senior actress Kareena Kapoor Khan threw a Diwali bash where the Kapoor family was invited.
Of course, Alia, who is married to Kareena's actor cousin Ranbir Kapoor, was invited.
The 'Brahmastra' actress wore a golden saree and a jacket for the occasion, which was also graced by Kareena's actress sister Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor and others.
In a deep dive into the analysis of Alia's look, it is found that she wore the saree from the archive of Ritu Kumar, a pioneer of the Indian fashion industry.
Rhea Kapoor, who styled Alia, wrote on Instagram, "... this sari revives one of her earliest designs, first created over 30 years ago by a woman who went on to redefine Indian couture.
"The silver tikki on rose gold silk carries her signature. A piece of fashion history, preserved in thread."
Rhea styled the saree with a golden sleeveless blouse featuring a sweetheart neckline and matching embroidered full-length jacket.
Alia complimented the look with a gold choker necklace, rings, bracelets and a maang tika.
On the work front, Alia is gearing up for the release of her upcoming action-spy film, Alpha, which also features Sharvari.
The film is set to release on December 25, 2025.
Besides, she is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead.
