Dabaru: Title track of Chiranjit Chakraborty-Rituparna Sengupta's film unveiled

Crafted by acclaimed music composer Bonnie Chakraborty and adorned with poignant lyrics by Mangaldeep Chand, the song represents a harmonious fusion of musical prowess and lyrical brilliance.

The title track features vocals by the renowned Rupam Islam, Bonnie Chakraborty, and Tamal Kanti Halder.

Expressing his excitement, Rupam Islam shared, "Collaborating with Bonnie, a close friend and incredibly talented Music Director and Singer, has been an absolute thrill. This being our first project together, there's a special kind of excitement brewing.

"The song we've created is nothing short of amazing, and I've poured my heart and soul into delivering my best performance. I'm genuinely hopeful that listeners will resonate with it as much as we do."

Echoing his sentiments, Bonnie Chakraborty remarked, "Crafting the music for 'Dabaru' has been a journey of passion and dedication. Living and breathing this project for six months, I knew from the get-go that Rupam was the perfect match for our title track.

"His vocal prowess and emotive delivery bring our composition to life in ways I couldn't have imagined. And let's not forget Mangaldeep Chand's lyrical genius; his words have added layers of depth and meaning to our song. I have no doubt that audiences will be swept away by the magic we've created."

Inspired by the remarkable life of Grandmaster Surya Sekhar Ganguly, 'Dabaru', which is directed by Pathikrit Basu, is a captivating tale of determination and triumph, following the journey of a young chess prodigy named Souro as he emerges from the streets of North Kolkata to achieve greatness.

Apart from Chirajit and Rituparna, the film features Dipankar De, Kharaj Mukherjee, Koushik Sen in pivotal roles.

Produced by Windows Productions, filmmaker Shiboprosad Mukherjee is involved in the film as the creative producer.

The film will hit theatres on May 10.
