Big B inaugurates IFFM

Mumbai, May 5 (IBNS) : The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), was recently inaugurated by the Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.

IFFM celebrates the festival of Indian Cinema.

Amitabh Bachchan said, “I am delighted that Melbourne is hosting this Festival. I am very honoured.”

 The Victorian Government has conferred to award Bachchan with the International Screen Icon Award at the Gala Event of the festival.

“Indeed I am honoured that they have decided to give me this award. I just feel that I am least accomplished to receive such a recognition but this is your kindness, affection and grace,” Bachchan said at a press conference.

The inaugural ceremony began with Bachchan lighting the ceremonial lamp and addressing the audience.



Bachchan was announced as the “One - Man patriarch of the Indian Cinema.”
